Below are details of this month's new developments:
New Features
Patchs Health Hub: Empowering patients to ease GP workloads
As part of our commitment to enhance care navigation and reduce the administrative load on GP practices, we're delighted to introduce the Patchs Health Hub.
The Patchs Health Hub creates a comprehensive network that streamlines the referral process and expands access to specialised services.
Health Hub highlgihts:
- Health content: Rigorously reviewed by our medical team, featuring expert articles and patient interviews.
- Comprehensive NHS services information: Access information on over 80,000 NHS services.
- Allied health services: Including online and walk-in pharmacies, Out-of-Hours online GP services (where commissioned), NHS Talking Therapy services (coming soon), and charity services.
- Patient support groups (coming soon): To foster a sense of community and provide additional support for patients
While anyone can access the Health Hub at www.patchs.ai, patients can also access the Health Hub through their GP practice landing page:
Enhanced Telephone Assistant transcription
We've enhanced the transcription capabilities of our Telephone Assistant to improve both accuracy and efficiency.
We now use AWS Transcribe to convert call audio into text. In addition to the standard transcription - available immediately after each call - an enhanced, more accurate version, will be available within 5 minutes. This ensures you have quick access to a clear and precise transcript.
Here's an example of what the transcription will look like after processing with the enhanced transcription method:
This new transcription feature is now available for pilot practices. Whether you're already using the Telephone Assistant and wish to enable this feature, or you're interested in starting with it, please email us at features@patchs.ai for more details.
Additional clinical questionnaires
We have expanded our existing questionnaire bank on Patchs. If you're using the AI Care Navigator, patients will be sent the following addition clinical questionnaires by Topic AI when they mention a relevant problem:
- Gastro-oesophageal Reflux (GORD, Indigestion) questionnaire (Topic: ‘GORD, indigestion’)
- Oxford hip score questionnaire (Topic: ‘Hip pain’)
- Earache (adult) questionnaire (Topic: ‘Earache’, 18 years and over)
- Earache (child) questionnaire (Topic: ‘Earache’, 0-17 years)
For Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill (COCP) Review, the following measures are now saved as SNOMED code values when the questionnaire is saved to the clinical system:
- Blood pressure readings
- Height, weight readings
- BMI reading
Please refer to the table on this page for a full list of Topic AI mappings.
Holidays Change Freeze
From the 19th of December to the 7th of January, we will pause all code releases, feature enablements, and system modifications such as practice merges or deletions to ensure stability and uninterrupted service during the holiday season.
Please note that any changes or feature requests submitted after the 11th of December will be processed after the 7th of January 2025.
