The 1.99 New Features Webinar will take place on 19th December 2024 from 12:30pm - 1:15pm. You can register here.
The replay will be made available on this page shortly after.
Below are details of this month's new developments:
New Features
Easy deletion for file attachments
Staff users now have the ability to delete file attachments from patient requests in Patchs. This new feature ensures that any unnecessary or irrelevant files can be easily removed, helping to keep patient records clear and focused.
Here’s a quick video on how to do it:
Self-booking notifications update
If a patient runs into an issue while trying to book through a self-book invitation, the notification will appear in your "Self-book errors" inbox as shown below:
If a patient successfully completes a booking after a previous error, the confirmation message is sent to the "Completed" inbox:
Clear guidance for non-registered patients
Patients who are not marked as registered by the practice and attempt to submit requests will now receive an immediate notification about their registration status.
The message directs them to contact the practice by telephone and provides information on how to access NHS 111 and handle medical emergencies.
Additional clinical questionnaires
We have expanded our existing questionnaire bank on Patchs with new clinical questionnaires.
If you're using the AI Care Navigator, patients will be sent the following new questionnaires by Topic AI when they mention a relevant problem:
- Tired All the Time questionnaire (Topic: ‘Tired All the Time (TATT)’)
- Abdominal pain – male questionnaire (Topic: ‘Abdominal pain’)
- Abdominal pain – female questionnaire (Topic: ‘Abdominal pain’)
Please refer to the table on this page for a full list of Topic AI mappings.
Feature Newly Out of Pilot
The new version of the Patchs toolbar, previously in the pilot phase, is going on general release next week.
The Patchs toolbar is designed to streamline your workflow and simplifies your daily tasks.
You can install it easily by following this step-by-step guide. If you need help, simply email us at feature@patchs.ai
Bug Fixes
Email address validation
When users enter email addresses that include non-ASCII characters (e.g. accented letters or symbols), the system will now reject these addresses. Instead, it will display a specific error message indicating which character is invalid.
Handling optional questionnaire responses
If a patient skips an optional question in a questionnaire that includes calculations, the system will now successfully process the submission without attempting the calculation, allowing the questionnaire to be submitted without errors.
Scheduled messaging fix
If a staff user modifies or deletes a message template that has been scheduled for future delivery, the system will automatically cancel the scheduled message to prevent sending outdated or incorrect content.
Improved accessibility of the Patchs toolbar
Key patient information and primary action buttons (such as sending or adding attachments) are now constantly displayed. The central content area has also been made scrollable on smaller devices.
Christmas Change Freeze
From the 19th of December to the 7th of January, we will suspend all code deployments, activation of new features, and system changes like practice mergers or deletions to guarantee stable and continuous service throughout the holiday period.
Please let us know by the 11th of December if you need any changes before this pause.
