New Feature: Early Adopters

Patchs Pharmacy First

The NHS Pharmacy First Service is now available on Patchs. This enhances the capabilities of local and online pharmacies to handle minor illnesses and urgent medication needs effectively. The service aims to optimise healthcare delivery by ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care and alleviate pressure on GP practices by referring patients with minor ailments.

The service directs patients to local pharmacists and an online pharmacy service for these seven common conditions:

  • Impetigo (1 year and over)
  • Infected Insect Bites (1 year and over)
  • Shingles (18 years and over)
  • Sinusitis (12 years and over)
  • Sore Throat (5 years and over)
  • UTI (Women 16-64 years)
  • Acute otitis media (1 to 17 years, in-person consultations only)

Accessing the Pharmacy First through Patchs is straightforward. Here’s how:

1. Practice Landing Page: Direct access via the landing page, especially useful outside of normal practice hours or when appointment slots are full.

2. Patchs AI Chatbot: Automatically directs eligible patients to the Pharmacy First service during their request submission.

3. Manual Direction: Practices can manually send patients to the service using preset message templates within Patchs.

New Feature

Patchs Landing Page: a fresh look for easier access

In response to feedback and as part of our commitment to continually improve user experience, we have redesigned our practice landing page.

Recognising that the previous layout—characterised by an array of tiles and a multitude of colours—could sometimes lead to confusion, we've adopted a cleaner, more intuitive design.

The new landing page features a user-friendly interface with clear, easy-to-identify buttons and directional arrows that guide users to the most used features.

With this redesign, we've reduced clutter and simplified the colour scheme, allowing for a more focused and less distracting experience.

This redesign not only makes navigating the page more straightforward but also enhances the overall efficiency of finding necessary information and accessing key services.

Experience the difference today and discover how our improved practice landing page can better serve you.
