How do I contact my practice via the NHS App?
Download the App and log in
You can now contact your practice, to get help with a health problem or make an admin request (including requests for a sick 'fit' note) via the NHS App.
To do this you will need to download the NHS App and sign in with your NHS Login (you will need to sign up to NHS Login if you haven't already).
Asking for help with a health problem via the NHS App
To ask for help with a health problem you should:
- Choose Advice from the lower left of the screen
then Ask your GP for medical advice - Continue to access PATCHS

Then choose either
- New health problem - for something you haven't contacted your GP practice about before.

Ongoing health problem - for something your GP practice already knows about.
Having chosen your request type you will answer a number of questions and confirm your answers to submit your request.
Once you have successfully submitted your request you'll be taken to a confirmation page.
Asking for help with an admin query via the NHS App
To ask for help with an admin query you should:
- Choose Messages from the lower left of the screen
then Ask your GP for medical advice - Continue to access PATCHS
To submit an admin query, select the "Messages" option on the bottom right of the screen, then "Ask your GP surgery a question - View responses, check your past requests or send a new request".
Having chosen to ask your GP surgery a question you will answer a number of questions and confirm your answers to submit your request.
Once you have successfully submitted your request you'll be taken to a confirmation page.
