The Patchs 1.55 release includes the following new features and bug fixes

Patchs Landing Page

The Patchs Landing Page has been updated and now uses a panel layout to give access to both internal and external features.

When a patient navigates to Patchs from your practice website, they will be taken to the new landing page, from where they can either use the Internal Panels to access Patchs' internal features or use the External Panels for other services.

Internal Panels:

Patients can use the four purple panels on the top row to:

  1. Contact my GP 
    Clicking on the 'Contact my GP' button takes a user to the 'Login or Register' page, from where they can log in, or register as a new Patchs user.mceclip5.png

  2. My messages

    Clicking on the 'My messages' button will prompt the user to Login and then open Patchs on their  'My Requests and Messages' page.

  3. Change my details
    Clicking on the 'Change my details' button will prompt the user to Login and then open Patchs on the  'Change my details' page.  From here they can make changes to their name, address and contact details.

  4. Help Centre
    Clicking on the 'Help Centre' button will open the Patchs Help Centre, where  patients can find help on Patchs and how they can use it to contact their practice.

External panels (visible according to practice settings):

The Landing page will show up to 4 external (blue) panels, with each panel being visible according to your practice's Patient signpost panel settings.

Patients can use the blue panels on the bottom row to:

  1. Find a pharmacy near me
    The 'Find a pharmacy near me' button will redirect the user to the NHS 'Find a pharmacy' page.

  2. Find a walk-in centre near me

    The 'Find a walk-in centre near me' button will redirect the user to the NHS 'Find Walk-in centre services' page.

  3. Find urgent care services near me

    The 'Find urgent care services near me' button will redirect the user to the NHS 'Find Urgent Care services' page.mceclip7.png

  4. Contact 111

    The 'Contact 111' button will redirect the user to the NHS 111 online.

Patchs Signpost Panel Settings

You can choose when each of the signpost panels are visible on the Patchs landing page.

A Patchs Admin user can update the signpost panel settings from the feature settings tab.

And each panel can be set to:

  • Always show - the button will always be visible.
  • Show out of hours only - the button will only be visible between 18:00 and 08:00.
  • Hide - the button will never be visible.

Patchs Toolbar for TPP Practices

A Patchs toolbar is now available to TPP practices, providing:

  • One click to open your patient’s record in SystmOne
  • Use the Patchs toolbar from SystmOne to:
    • Open your Patchs inbox
    • Initiate a patient message
    • Initiate a video consultation

Release timing

The release will be made between 6.30 and 7.30 pm on Tuesday 8th March.
