What is Topic AI?
Topic AI works out the topics of a patient request and populates the 'What are the main topics of this request?' triage decision question automatically.
What are the benefits of Topic AI?
Topic AI can be used to ask patients further questions when they submit a request. For example, it might ask them to complete a PHQ-9 if their request is about depression, or about back pain red flags if their request is about back pain.
The benefits of this are that it can:
- Speed up the consultation process and reduce your workload by asking patients useful clinical questions automatically, so you don't have to.
- Improve care quality and safety by ensuring that all patient requests are assessed in a standardised way.
What should I do if I disagree with a suggestion from Topic AI?
Because Patchs AI is not 100% accurate (nothing is), Topic AI may:
- Assign a topic that isn't there (false positive)
In this case, you should delete the topic on the 'What are the main topics of this request?' triage decision question using the cross.
- Not assign a topic that is there (false negative)
In this case, you should add the topic from the dropdown/search menu on the 'What are the main topics of this request?' triage decision question.
Because Patchs is constantly learning, this will help it correct its mistakes in future.
