'Send as SMS' behaviour

As a PATCHS Admin user at a practice using PATCHS SMS, you can set the Send as SMS behaviour from your practice's Feature settings page. 

Enable sending SMS as default to patients

You can set whether sending SMS should be the default for notifying patients when you send them a message (instead of email)

Enable sending messages in body of SMS and email for reply not required messages

You can also set whether you can have the option to send messages in the body of an SMS or email to patients rather than sending them a link to view their message in PATCHS. You can choose this option at the point of sending messages. You would normally choose this option when sending non-sensitive information to patients. Again, you can set this to be default behaviour too.

When sending messages as SMS, send.... SMS only

With this option, when sending an SMS only an SMS message will be sent to the patient. 

When sending messages as SMS, send.... Both SMS and Email

With this option, when sending an SMS both an SMS and email message will be sent to the patient.
