Linking your Online Services account to Patchs provides you with increased functionality.

You will be able to:

  • Order repeat medication by selecting from a list, rather than having to type what medications you want to order each time.
  • Book directly into appointments that have been made available online by your GP practice. For example, telephone or face-to-face appointments.
  • View your medical record. This includes consultations, problems, test results, medications, immunisations and allergies (depending on what your practice have chosen to make available).

Linking Patchs to your Online Services

To link your Patchs account with Online Services, you need to request a special code from your GP practice. This code is used as an extra layer of security to protect your data.

The special code will vary depending on which clinical system your GP practice is using.

EMIS practices call it a 'Linkage Key'.

TPP SystmOne practices call it a 'Passphrase'.

According the information your practice supplies to you, please refer to the relevant section below.

EMIS Practices

To link Patchs to your Online Services account, please follow these steps:

  1. Request your ‘Online Services Linkage Key’ from your GP practice. You can do this by submitting an ‘Admin request’ in Patchs. You will need to attach proof of ID (e.g. passport, driving license) and address (e.g. gas bill, phone bill, bank statement). Your GP practice will then reply with your Online Services account details.
  2. Enter your Account ID and Linkage Key in the Online Services section of the Patchs menu. The Patchs menu is a drop-down menu that can be found in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Please refer to the images below for guidance:

Unlinking Patchs from your Online Services

You can unlink  your Patchs account from Online Services from the Online Services page.

Pleas be aware that Unlinking your account will remove access to all third party apps. If you wish to relink your account, you will then need to request a new Passphrase or Linkage key from your GP practice.
