The PATCHS request page has been re-designed to help improve usability. Request message information has been organised into sections that can be easily accessed from the message banner at the top of the page.
In the video below, Dr Ben Brown explains how to navigate the re-designed layout when reviewing and responding to request messages from patients.
When you open a patient request you will always see:
- The message banner
- Message details panel
- Patient registration status box
- Assign staff member box
- The Complete Message button
- Patient details
- Tab selector
The message details panel shows:
- Date of message
- Message Status
- Message Type
- Message Submitted by
Patient Registration Status
You can view and update the patent's registration status from this section
Assign Staff Member
Use this section to select and send a message to another member of staff
When you assign a message to another member of staff, the message will be sent to their inbox
Use the tab selector at the top of the page to swap between the different sections of the request message.
Complete Message Button
The COMPLETE MESSAGE button
You should use the COMPLETE MESSAGE button when you have reviewed and responded to the current request message and all tasks have been completed.
Message and triage
When you open a request message from an Inbox and there are no tasks assigned to you, the request page will open with the Message and triage section open. The messages and triage section comprises
The Chat history shows all messages between the patient and the GP practice for the current request.
Codes and comments
The tab selector shows the number of codes and comments that have been added to the request message.
When you select Codes & comments you will:
- see (and delete if necessary) any codes and comments that have been added to the request message
- be able to add codes and comments to the request message
The tab selector shows the number of incomplete tasks that have been added to the request message.
When you open a request message from your Inbox and there are tasks assigned to you, the request page opens with the Tasks section open.
You can also swap to the Tasks section by clicking on the tab selector.
On the Tasks section you will:
- see any To do tasks and can mark them as Done
- see any Completed tasks and if required, can mark them as To do
- Add a task for another member of staff
The tab selector shows the number of scheduled Video Consultations that have been scheduled for this request message.
You can swap to the Video section by clicking on the tab selector.
On the Video section you will:
- see any scheduled video consultations
- be able to schedule or re-arrange a video consultation
You can swap to the Audit section by clicking on the tab selector.
On the Audit section you will see a log of all events for the current request message.
You can swap to the All messages section by clicking on the tab selector.
The All messages section shows all messages for the current patient
